Isaac Adjei Mensah, and the District Director of Agriculture, Madam Helena Addo, delivered stirring addresses, celebrating farmers as the “true heroes” and “heartbeat of Ghana” while issuing an urgent, collective call to action for food sovereignty.
In a bold shift from top-down administration, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Wassa East, Hon. Alhassan Ibrahim, has committed to spending three working days each week on a comprehensive tour of the district’s over 200 communities. The initiative aims to bring governance directly to the people, eliminating the need for residents to undertake long and costly journeys to the district capital, Daboase, to voice their development concerns.
The Wassa East District Assembly on Wednesday 4th September unveiled earth-moving machines supplied to the district in the District Roads Improvement Program (DRIP) at Wassa Atobiase.
