Wassa East Outdoors Earth Moving Machines

The Wassa East District Assembly on Wednesday 4th September unveiled earth-moving machines supplied to the district in the District Roads Improvement Program (DRIP) at Wassa Atobiase. This comes off after a launch of initiative by the Government of Ghana is set to empower Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with the tools and resources needed to enhance road networks across the country. The event was graced by the presence of various Assembly and Unit- Committee members, as well as Traditional Leaders.

In line with the government’s vision to enhance road connectivity across the country the program is targeted at addressing the pressing need for road construction and maintenance equipment in the District, fostering enhanced road connectivity and to spur on economic growth.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Boakye in his speech emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to ensure the equipment and tools provided to be fully utilized to improve the District’s road networks. He also made known the need for patience as it was going to take some time for all roads in the District to be improved. He announced the commencement of work on the Domama road.
