DCE visits Subri River admist rains.

The District Chief Executive Hon. Emmanuel Boakye paid a visit to Subri and environs to inspect areas which had been affected by the continuous torrential rains. The Subri River which lies between the communities of Subri and Damang in the Wassa East district serves as a source of transport and provides livelihood for the indigenes of the communities. However, due to torrential rains this year the river has overflown its banks, flooding several farms along with the only bridge which serves as an access road between the two communities. During Hon. Emmanuel Boakye’s interaction with the affected communities, he assured them of the Assembly’s commitment to finding solution to their plight.
