The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Wassa East District, Hon. Alhassan Ibrahim, accompanied by officials of the District Assembly, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, undertook an inaugural site visit to the ongoing solar power project at NARUBIZ Ltd. in Dompim No. 1.
The visit provided the DCE and other stakeholders with the opportunity to tour the project site, assess the progress of work, and engage with the various partners involved in the initiative.
The facility comprises a 1MW solar PV farm, a 4MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and a 1MW CAT generator set, delivering a hybrid energy solution to support NARUBIZ Ltd.’s rubber processing operations.
Hon. Alhassan Ibrahim expressed satisfaction with the progress of the project and commended NARUBIZ Ltd. for its investment and contribution to industrial development in the District. He emphasised the importance of sustainable business operations and assured the company of the Assembly’s continued support and collaboration.
The site visit was also attended by representatives of NARUBIZ Ltd., MPOWER, RIEPCO Solar, Akatakyiman Rural Bank, other project partners, and traditional leaders from Dompim.
The Project Manager assured stakeholders that the project is progressing as planned and is expected to be fully commissioned in November 2026.
The NARUBIZ team expressed appreciation to the DCE, the District Assembly, and the traditional leaders for attending the site visit and for their continued support.
The Wassa East District Assembly looks forward to the successful completion and commissioning of the project and its contribution to sustainable energy and industrial development within the District.
