DCE Drops Bold Blueprint: ‘No Classroom Left Behind’ as Wassa East Moves to Overhaul Education

Hon. Alhassan Ibrahim, District Chief Executive for Wassa East, has unveiled an ambitious roadmap to transform education within the district, declaring the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to bridging infrastructure gaps and driving academic excellence at the Senchem Circuit Educational Forum held at Brofoyedur.

Speaking as Special Guest of Honour, Hon. Alhassan Ibrahim outlined a comprehensive strategy centered on the Assembly’s role in expanding educational infrastructure, supplying teaching and learning materials, and deepening collaboration with the Ghana Education Service to strengthen school supervision and performance monitoring. He detailed ongoing interventions, including ongoing school renovations, new classroom block constructions, teacher support initiatives, and sustained community engagement, all aimed at raising academic standards across the circuit and the district at large.

The DCE was accompanied by Hon. Paul Ortis Dentu, Municipal Chief Executive of Shama, Ms. Elizabeth Princess Komotey, NADMO Director for Wassa East District; and Mr. Samuel Armah, Assistant Director of Administration at the Wassa East District Assembly, a delegation that underscored the growing synergy between districts and institutions in advancing education.

The forum drew a diverse assembly of stakeholders, including teachers, students, PTA chairpersons, parents, traditional authorities (Nananom), religious leaders, and representatives from the District Education Directorate.

In spirited discussions, participants tackled pressing issues such as teacher motivation, student discipline, parental engagement, and infrastructure deficits, while proffering actionable solutions.

Stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to partnering with the Assembly and the Education Directorate to achieve inclusive, quality education for all.

Hon. Alhassan Ibrahim extended his gratitude to the forum organizers and participants, reiterating his stands to sustain collaborative efforts toward continuous educational improvement across the district.
