Wassa East Secures NDPC Certification for 2026-2029 Development Plan: “A New Chapter of Accountability”

The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) has officially certified the 2026-2029 District Medium Term Development Plan (DMTDP) of the Wassa East District Assembly, paving the way for transformative interventions aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.

The certification certificate was formally presented to the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Alhassan Ibrahim, on 23rd February 2026, during a ceremony at the Western Regional Coordinating Council in Sekondi .

This significant milestone marks the culmination of months of rigorous planning and stakeholder engagement, positioning Wassa East among a select group of districts nationwide to meet the Commission’s stringent standards.

According to the NDPC, only 102 out of 261 districts nationwide have so far achieved.
